New Worksite Wellness Program Requirements

In accordance with updated Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations, employers offering wellness programs (including wellness programs provided by HMAA on behalf of employers) that collect personal health information are now responsible for notifying employees about the type of information that will be collected, its intended purpose, and the safety measures in place to ensure it remains confidential.

Therefore, all employers with HMAA coverage must provide this notice to their employees. A customized notice is available to help ensure compliance with the new regulations beginning January 1, 2017. You may also contact your HMAA Account Manager or Sales Support for assistance.
