The costs of medically necessary testing and treatment for COVID-19 remain covered at 100% for HMAA members in accordance with HMAA’s medical plans and will expire when the National Emergency Declaration for COVID-19 ends. This means HMAA members will not be responsible for copayments, coinsurance, or deductibles related to COVID-19 testing or treatment until October 23, 2020 unless the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services declares otherwise.
- COVID-19 testing rendered by in-network participating or non-participating providers is covered at 100%.
- Treatment for COVID-19 rendered by in-network participating providers is covered at 100%.
- Preventive treatment, such as immunizations, for COVID-19 qualify under the USPSTF A and B guidelines and will be covered at 100% when available.
