HMAA is committed to supporting our clients and members affected by the flooding. We provide the following.
HMAA and OptumRx are committed to providing a full spectrum of pharmacy care, especially in emergency situations. Our primary concern is to ensure our members have access to their prescription medications during this difficult time.
For members heavily impacted by flooding, please contact HMAA’s Customer Service Center for assistance with filling a prescription.
If you do not have employer-provided drug coverage, Optum Perks is a prescription drug savings program through which individuals can obtain a free discount card online and instantly save on select prescription medications. For more information, visit himemberplus.com/optumperks.
If you need care for a non-life-threatening condition or mental health support and are having difficulty accessing a provider, our HiDoc® telehealth service is available to HMAA members at no cost 24/7. In most cases you can be seen by a physician in as little as 30 minutes from your phone, mobile device, or computer. Call (888) 838-8075, visit HMAA.com/telemedicine, or download the MDLIVE mobile app.
Through HiDoc, you can speak to a doctor about symptoms from contaminated water intake, minor cuts, coughing/vomiting, medication refills, and more. Mental health services are also available to members dealing with stress and anxiety.
Travel associated with medical care will be based on HMAA’s regular plan benefits. If care is not available on a member’s home island, HMAA will reimburse travel costs to the nearest island where care can be provided in accordance with the member’s plan benefits. Learn more.
