In keeping with our commitment of excellent service to our clients and members, HMAA will be upgrading our claims and benefits system on January 1, 2024. As part of this upgrade, you will see changes to some of our services including your monthly premium bill, a new client online portal for plan administration, and a new member online portal.
These timelines are subject to change. We apologize for the inconvenience these changes may cause and appreciate your patience.
Changes to Occur
Medical and dental claims will be processed in the new system after the respective conversion date. For services rendered prior to January 1, 2024, claims will be processed in HMAA’s old system.
Processing delays will occur for eligibility changes submitted December 1, 2023 through December 8, 2023.
Monthly premium bills will be generated in the new system beginning a month prior to the conversion date.
Member ID cards will be generated in the new system after the respective conversion date. For certain policies, HMAA will issue new ID cards reflecting a new group policy number and/or member ID prior to the conversion. If your policy requires a new group number, you will be notified. Members will need to present the new cards to their healthcare providers beginning January 1, 2024.
Our clients’ plan administrators will have access to a new and improved portal powered by the Javelina Web platform by Eldorado Computing, a division of Mphasis Healthcare Solutions. It will have a new look with features including self-login reset and managing enrollments, member ID cards, and eligibility information.
HMAA members will have access to a new and improved portal powered by the Javelina Web platform by Eldorado Computing, a division of Mphasis Healthcare Solutions. It will have a new look with features including self-registration; self-login reset; and access to member ID cards, eligibility, and claims information. Historical information will be available on HMAA’s old portal through December 31, 2024.
To ensure timely and secure notification of claims information, members may choose to receive only electronic EOBs for medical services, viewable on HMAA’s new online portal. To elect this option, login to HMAA’s new online portal and select paperless EOBs, or contact our Customer Service Center for assistance.
HMAA will still mail a paper EOB if a member visits a non-participating provider and pays for services up front, which results in HMAA mailing a payment directly to the member.

Claims information for services rendered prior to January 1, 2024 will be available in HMAA’s old portal. Historical information will be available on HMAA’s old portal through December 31, 2024.
